YES TODAY WAS A SNOW DAY IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD

Well woke up to 5 to 7 inches in our  back yard this morning... I decided to take a few picture to put in the scrapbook.  And as I look out my window right now it is snowing again but at least most of the snow has fallen out/off the trees.  So lets more on to something a bit warmer looking.....

As I said yesterday I would be spending some time in my craft room which I have been in here most of the day so I do have one card to add...but I have also been doing some clean up too... so I could find some things.  I went looking for cards on the internet last night and did find lots of lovely cards but one seem to stand out and it was one that used one of my spellbinders dies... I tried to make something with this die today and this card is what I came up with... hope you like it.

SNOW DAY TOMORROW

Hi Everyone,
Spring is not here in Ohio... it is snowing outside right now... and they are calling for 4 to 6 inches of snow for my area by tomorrow afternoon... That means lots of craft room time tomorrow.  I am getting cabin fever and I am really wanting to go outside to work  in my 11 flower beds, oops, make that 10 flower beds we did do away with one last fall and planted grass in that area.  It is looking as if I won't be outside any time this week.   Maybe next week!!!!  I hope!!!

Well since I have had the time I made two very simply cards today with my new spellbinder's dies.

Cartridges: Accent Essentials (flowers)

We are not sure when... but Spring will be here soon... We still hope so!!!  So I decided to make very Spring-like card hoping that Mother Nature would see it and correct the weather soon. :)

PUNXSUTAWNEY  PHIL, THE OHIO GROUNDHOG HAS BEEN INDICTED

Hi Everyone,

Hope some of you are having some wonderful spring weather!!!  I hear that the ground hog here in Ohio has been indicted.  Punxsutawney Phil's decidedly incorrect prediction has him in some seriously hot water.  Mr Gmoser has  enter a one-count indictment accuses Phil of "the offense of misrepresentation of early spring, an unclassified felony, and against the peace and dignity of the state of Ohio" so one of the TV news channel states. :)  Yesterday morning it was 10 degrees here and today I think it made it up to 34 degrees.  Oh boy are we all wanting some warm weather!!!!  I hear there is another snow storm coming in a few days....

Well with the cold weather I have been staying inside enjoying my craftroom time.
But I did have to journey out to do a bit of shopping last week.   At JoAnn's there was a good sale on Spellbinder's Dies 40%  savings and at a local craft store there were some embossing folders on sale for $1.00 so I picked up some of those too.
So I have been trying them all this week and even completed a few cards.

Here is the first one I did using my new spellbinder's dies and even the very small hearts are pieces cut by the dies so decided to use a few on this card instead throwing them away.

MY FOUR LEAF CLOVER

Hi Everyone, I have been busy this last week or so running around with my hubby looking for a new Radio Control Car.  Our son-in-law, Scott, has a couple of them and has got my hubby interested in them...  So we were off looking for parts and maybe a new car.  Well so far we did find the parts he needed to get his older car going... So hubby, Scott and our grandson went out to drive their cars and trucks so I had some time in my craft room... I did get two cards done but forgot to get a picture of one so I will just be posting this one for now..

I  made this card for my daughter... for her to give to her hubby.  His birthday is on St Patrick's Day.

SPOTTED PUPPY FRIENDS FUR-EVER

I loved doing the first doggy card so much I decided to try to make the spotted doggy on the cricut cartridge Create A Critter 2.  I did the hair the same as I did on the first card ...by using a squashed flower from Mother's Day Bouquet cricut cartridge.  But this time I also try to make it look a bit more shaggy...by making cuts in the flower here and there.  Plus I made two squashed flowers... one colored cream and the other colored brown... and cut them into two pieces so I could make the hair 2 toned to match the doggy's head...I did match the two-tone hair to the two-tone head this time...but next time I am not so sure it would line up so well... pure luck this time I guess.  Below the card is more info about doing that Spotted Puppy.

Cartridges:  Create A Critter 2
                   Mother's Day Bouquet.

Other Items used:  Cardstock, printed paper, Baker's Twine and Peachy Keen 1 3/8 inches Happy go-lucky dog face.

Challenges:  Wednesday Card Sketch Challenge
                     Exploring Cricut
Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #150 Fun with Puns
My Crafty Spot Monday Challenge #88 Pop It Up

You can get the Cricut Craft Room file for this spotted puppy here.

These are the squashed flowers... glue the tan flower on top of the brown flower.
There is a dotted line on the tan flower in the picture above so if you cut it in that area it should work well to match up with the head of the puppy at least mine did.

Now glue the  half tan and half brown pieces to the full brown flower... I then cut the flower petals  into more petals so it looks a bit more shaggy (see the card above).
Then glue the flower to the puppy's head.
